The right answer

The river was named Swarte Swaene-Revier by Dutch explorer, Willem de Vlamingh in 1697 , after the famous black swans of the area. Translated from the old Dutch 'Black Swan River'.

Morning Tea at Kings Park Perth

Considering it was a public holiday in WA the Killows invited Oma, Opa and Omi for morning coffee at Kings Park about half way between Armadale and Kallaroo.

Oma and Hannah played a game of scrabble.

The question arose why was the river called the Swan River? I am sure all you clever people will know the answer.
